A new Trachycarpus for cultivation from Vietnam. It has a slender trunk with circular fan leaves which are deeply divided and bluish green with pale grey undersides. Hardiness not tested yet but likely to take temperatures down to -10C when larger. An opportunity to be one of the first to grow this Trachycarpus.

A new Trachycarpus for cultivation from Vietnam. It has a slender trunk with circular fan leaves which are deeply divided and bluish green with pale grey undersides. Hardiness not tested yet but likely to take temperatures down to -10C when larger. An opportunity to be one of the first to grow this Trachycarpus.

Germination instructions

Soak for 24 hours and then sow on a loamy well drained sterile seed compost and cover with vermiculite. Keep moist but not wet at 20C to 22C. Germination in 1 to 3 months typically but can be 12+ months.
