Solanum atropurpureum

From Brazil, this is a seriously spiny and quirky Solanum, growing to over 1.8m in the right conditions with stems and leaves covered with purple spines.  Does well planted out during the summer months, but will need to be kept frost free during the winter.  Alternatively treat as an annual and grow each year from seed.
