The only Schefflera that is endemic to New Zealand and not seen that often in the UK these days.  The palmate leaves have up to 9 leaflets with some variability in leaf shape too with seed grown plants.  Prefers moisture retentive humus rich soil in partial shade so similar conditions to most other Schefflera.  Will take light frosts when larger and after the stem has become woody, but best to protect when small by keeping under cover during the colder months.
