From New Zealand, this Pseudopanax forms a small muti branched tree to around 5m tall. It has compound leaves with 5 to 7 glossy green leaflets. It is widely found across new Zealand and is a close relative of Pseudopanax laetus. Prefers partial shade in well drained humus rich soil. Should be hardy in milder parts of the UK in a protected spot.
