Phoenix rupicola is a very graceful and relatively rare Phoenix palm from the Himalayas with long arching shining green fronds and a smooth trunk. Quite quick growing from seed, it will tolerate some frost when it reaches a larger size but probably brought indoors for the winter unless in a very mild location

Germination instructions

Sow on a sterile seed compost and cover with vermiculite/grit. Keep moist but not wet at 18C to 22C. Germinates fairly quickly for a palm - 6+ weeks.
