Purple Granadilla 10 seeds ■● Passiflora quadrangularis is a really attractive passion flower with large leaves and huge purple flowers with a very heavy scent. Tricky to set fruit in the UK (the giant granadilla which is said to be delicious) but the flowers are magnificent anyway. Best grown in a conservatory or greenhouse.

Germination instructions

Soak the seeds for 24hrs in orange juice. Then rinse and sow in a sterile seed compost lightly covering with vermiculite. Keep moist but not wet in bright light at around 20C. Germination is erratic from 3 weeks to 3+ months. Admit air after germination to lower risk of damping off.
