Musa itinerans 'Mekong Giant'

A real beast of a banana originally from the Yunnan region in China.  It its native habitat it can grow to over 10m, and is thought to be the second largest banana in the world! This banana is quite cold tolerant and can even take light frosts when a good size, so could be an option for the milder microclimates in the UK.   Otherwise grow outdoors during the summer months and then keep frost free - will require plenty of space when larger!
