From the Sikkim region in India, a really attractive banana with a red stripe along the midrib of the leaves and a dark purple pseudostem when larger. Grows to around 4m tall in its native habitat. Relatively cold tolerant so not too tricky to overwinter but still best to keep frost free. Not hardy.
