From the foothills of the Himalayas, a fast growing tree in its native habitat with fine feathery foliage.  Enjoys a sunny sheltered spot in well draining soil.  Not hardy so will require keeping frost free in a container or can be grown as an annual for exotic effect.  Said to have a number of medicinal properties.

Soak the seeds in warm water for 24hrs and then sow on a sterile seed compost and cover with vermiculite or grit and keep moist but not wet at around 20C to 25C.  Germination relatively quick in 2+ weeks.
