In its native habitat of tropical America, this Mimosa can grow to over 5m tall. It has the characteristic mimosa bipinnate leaves on spiny trunks which fold when touched and during the night. Can be invasive in tropical climates but will not take any frost so will not survive outdoors in just about all of the UK. Best grown in a pot as a novelty.
