Best grown as a tender annual in the UK, sowing under cover in early spring. Produces massive tubers if grown frost free in a conservatory for example.

Germination instructions

Soak the seeds for 24 hours and then sow in a sterile seed compost covering with vermiculite/grit. Keep at 25C to 30C. Germination in around 1 to 2 weeks. Give plenty of bright light once germinated to prevent damping off.
