This rarely available form of the kahili ginger originally came from a small bulb nursery in the UK. Makes robust plants with large glaucous leaves, and flowers relatively early.

Germination instructions

Soak seeds overnight and then sow in a well drained sterile seed compost and cover with vermiculite/grit. Keep in bright light at around 25C to 30C. Germination in 1 to 2 months - can be erratic.
