This is a good reliable hardy ginger for a jungle style garden, hardy in all parts of the UK at the root level. Treat it as a clumping border perennial plant. Each year it will throw 90cm spikes topped by orange flower spikes about 10cm long in August/September.

Germination instructions

Soak seeds overnight and then sow in a well drained sterile seed compost and cover with vermiculite/grit. Keep in bright light at around 25C to 30C. Germination in 1 to 2 months - can be erratic.
