Ensete lecongkietii

The Orphan Banana from parts of Thailand and Vietnam.  Quite similar in appearance to Ensete superbum, this is one of the smallest of Ensete, reaching around 2.5m tall.  It has a swollen pseudostem at the base and stiff glaucous leaves.   Likes plenty of water and warmth during the summer months but keep on the dry side and above 10C during the colder months.  Not Hardy.
