From the Canary Islands, this Echium is a branching evergreen shrub with glaucous leaves, growing to over 1.5m in height in its native habitat.  In late spring it is covered in conical spikes of white flowers which are a magnet for bees.  Requires a sunny well drained sheltered spot,   Can take light frosts when larger.
