A chance to grow another dark-leaved dahlia from seed, reaching around 70cms in height. Flowers are in shades of scarlet to deep red and contrast well with the near black foliage. Best sown early indoors and will then flower from summer through to the first frosts. Good in containers too. Prefers a sunny spot.

Germination instructions

Sow in a sterile seed compost and cover with vermiculite/grit. Keep moist but not wet at around 15c to 20C. Germination in around 2 weeks.
