From Mexico, where is it a climbing perennial,  best grown as an annual in the UK, reaching around 1.5m in one season.  Trumpet like flowers which are usually violet set against heart shaped leaves.  Needs sunny well drained conditions.

Surface the seeds on a sterile seed compost.  Keep moist but not wet at around 18C to 22C.  Needs light to germinate.  Germination in 2+ weeks.
