From El Hierro in the Canary Islands, this is one of the giants of the genus with rosettes up to 60cms across, perched on trunks that can reach 1.5m in their native habitats.
Aeoniums are not hardy in most parts of the UK and need to be kept frost free and dry during the winter months. Often grown in pots, Aeoniums also appreciate being planted out during the summer months.
